The Hague
The Hague is the diplomatic centre of The Netherlands due to the 85 foreign embassies. It is as well the centre of the Dutch government and the residence of the Dutch Royal Family.
But internationally, The Hague is mostly known as the world capital of international peace and justice. For instance, the Palace of Justice and the international criminal courts are located here.
The Hague is situated at the North Sea and has an international well known boulevard of ‘Scheveningen’. There you’ll find bars, restaurants, a lively night life and the famous Kurhaus Hotel.
Rotterdam
Rotterdam is famous for the world's No. 1 port and functions as gateway to the rest of Europe, handling a large share of the import and export. But the city is also making a name as an international film and festival location. With a population of around 160 nationalities, Rotterdam is aptly described as cosmopolitan and dynamic.
